Rena L-326 tabbing problems
« on: April 02, 2009, 07:07:40 PM »

I just purchased a used Rena L-326 tabber/labeler. Have been experiencing problems with the Rena clear tabs not being folded over consistently.
I’ve tried different thickness settings. According to the book I’ve got the tabbing roller in the right spot, am using the hold down as suggested by the book.
Also having a problem with the paper round tabs not being advanced far enough to seal the top side well also.
Anyone have any solutions, tricks regarding this piece of machinery?
Thanks.

Make sure the paper is transporting consistently through the machine.
If not, adjust the tension and then readjust the separators.Make sure the label advance roller and yellow pressure roller are clean. If you are still having problems, you will need to check the clutch and break.

Remove all labels and paper from the machine.
Switch the machine off.
Keep the [Label] key pressed down while switching the machine on
“The machine should now be in a diagnostic mode”
Press the [OPT] key till you see
cu-br on the display and the rollers should be spinning.
If not slide the speed control all the way to the right.
The label advance roller should be pulsating fast and if you grab it should be almost impossible to stop.
If you can stop it there is a problem with the clutch and most likely needs to be replaced.  The problem then becomes getting a clutch, and they are not available.

Thanks, I’ll begin the diagnostics later today.
