Description
About the Walco FIR 6400
The Walco FIR 6400 is a Fannon infrared (IR) dryer built around a 6,400-watt infrared lamp. It delivers radiant heat to set inks and coatings on printed pieces as they pass beneath the lamp on a moving conveyor.
Mounted over a conveyor in a production mail or print-finishing line, the FIR 6400 provides in-line drying so pieces move directly from printing to the next station without offset or smearing. The infrared output is well suited to solvent- and water-based inks that cure with heat.
Inline, the FIR 6400 also mounts over the dry section of the Walco SB Series split bases — 4224SB, 4224SBH, 4224SBX, 4235SB, 4235SBH and 4235SBX — via the Walco 2110-3 IR dryer mount (sold separately).
