Description
About the Secap SA5000 (DA80F)
The compact Secap SA5000 — also sold as the DA80F — is an envelope printer and imager built for high-speed results in a small footprint. It prints USPS-compliant addresses and barcodes, and its heavy-duty spring-loaded rollers over serrated metal rollers feed reliably and minimize jams, even on difficult glossy pieces. Pair it with mailing software such as Satori Bulk Mailer and you can retire your old label applicator entirely.
The SA5000 prints at up to 22,000/hr in super draft, 16,500/hr in draft, 11,000/hr in letter quality and 5,500/hr in executive, at up to 600 dpi, with a 1.5" image area using three pens across a 13" x 13.5" area. A large feed hopper holds up to 450 #10 envelopes or 1,000 postcards, and it handles media 3" to 13" wide and up to 1/4" thick. It offers 12 internal scalable fonts plus downloadable TrueType fonts, USPS/PLANET Code/Intelligent Mail/EAN-13/UPC-A barcodes, and USB and Ethernet ports. It is also known as the Pitney Bowes DA-80F, and earlier equivalents include the SA5000 / 22K / Bryce 22K / Pitney Bowes DA-400. It weighs 50 lbs; UL and CSA certified. Also available refurbished.

Still Supported by All For Mailers
Straight talk: some parts for the Secap SA5000 (DA80F) are getting hard to find — but it was built to last. These were genuinely well-made units, and a well-cared-for one may run for years yet. It’s off the current price lists, and while we can still source many parts, certain components — most often boards, displays and electronics — are increasingly scarce. We can often keep one running. We just can’t promise it indefinitely.
Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.
Already own one? Call 866-430-2874 before you commit to a major repair — we’ll tell you honestly whether the part exists and whether the repair is worth it. SuppliesForMailers.com still stocks consumables.
Shopping today? We’d steer you toward a current, supported platform — the RENA AS-150, AS-450, AS-650 and AS-850, or the Formax AP2 (2in), AP3 (3in) and AP4 (4in in-line). Tell us your volume and piece sizes and we’ll match you to the right machine, with parts, service and lifetime phone support behind it.
The Secap SA5000 / DA80F has been discontinued and is no longer supported new by the manufacturer. All For Mailers — veteran-owned, with people in the mailing industry since 1991 — can still help you source ink, supplies and parts where available through SuppliesForMailers.com, and may have refurbished options; ask us about a current envelope printer.
