About the Secap SA3100 (DA50s)

The Secap DA50S — also known as the SA3100 — is a hi-speed, high-quality desktop address printer and imager built for small-volume mailers who still want graphic capability normally reserved for pricier models. It is easy to use, doesn’t take up much desk space, and helps you create personalized messages, full-color graphics and more so your mail gets opened and your return on investment improves.

With shuttling-head technology, the SA3100 gives you the freedom to print almost anywhere on the mail piece. It addresses up to 10,000 pieces per hour at 600 x 600 dpi, from an extended hopper holding up to 200 #10 envelopes, and prints addresses, barcodes, logos and graphics in a single pass. A light mode reduces ink use and speeds drying, and a simple walk-up control panel prompts users through each job. It handles media 3.5" to 12.75" wide and up to 1/8" thick, offers 14 internal scalable fonts plus downloadable fonts, supports USPS/PLANET Code/Intelligent Mail/EAN-13/UPC-A barcodes over USB or Ethernet, and works with an optional TC36 conveyor and TD36 dryer. It is also known as the Pitney Bowes DA-50s.

Still Supported by All For Mailers

Straight talk: some parts for the Secap SA3100 (DA50s) are getting hard to find — but it was built to last. These were genuinely well-made units, and a well-cared-for one may run for years yet. It’s off the current price lists, and while we can still source many parts, certain components — most often boards, displays and electronics — are increasingly scarce. We can often keep one running. We just can’t promise it indefinitely.

Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.

Already own one? Call 866-430-2874 before you commit to a major repair — we’ll tell you honestly whether the part exists and whether the repair is worth it. SuppliesForMailers.com still stocks consumables.

Shopping today? We’d steer you toward a current, supported platform — the RENA AS-150, AS-450, AS-650 and AS-850, or the Formax AP2 (2in), AP3 (3in) and AP4 (4in in-line). Tell us your volume and piece sizes and we’ll match you to the right machine, with parts, service and lifetime phone support behind it.

The Secap SA3100 / DA50s has been discontinued and is no longer supported new by the manufacturer. All For Mailers — veteran-owned, with people in the mailing industry since 1991 — can still help you source ink, supplies and parts where available through SuppliesForMailers.com, and recommend a current entry-level address printer.
