About the XPS ProDry 8.0
The RENA XPS ProDry 8.0 is an infrared dryer with 8,000 watts of drying power, exclusively designed to run inline with the XPS ProMail. Throughput speed from 0 to 300 feet per minute is controlled directly from the XPS ProMail base, and the dryer handles material from 3 x 5 inches up to 15 x 17 inches and up to 1-1/4 inches thick.
Five short-wave quartz infrared lamps — 1,600 watts at 240 volts each, with ruby glare-reduction and gold reflectors — deliver variable output from 0 to 8,000 watts. A heat-removal vacuum system, adjustable lamp height, remote sensor and material control guides round out the design, while safety interlocks, lamp timeout, belt crawl and a tilt switch protect operators and product. Lamps typically serve a full year, and the 200-lb dryer runs on 220VAC single phase at 34 amps, requiring 50-60A service.
