Description
About the Rena Imager III
The Rena Imager III puts floor-model speed and features on your desktop. Think of it as a cousin of the Secap 30K and SA5300 PRO — the key difference is that the Imager III uses vacuum assist and an extended transport rather than brute strength to pull product from the feeder. Set up correctly, it handles longer products with ease that can give other units trouble.
It is a full-featured addressing/imaging system built for speed, with 3″ of print from dual 1.5″ independent print modules that print addresses, attention lines, postal barcodes, return addresses and an indicia all at once. It addresses postcards, envelopes, self-mailers, flats and booklets up to 1/2″ thick, at production speeds over 30,000 postcards or 25,000 #10 envelopes per hour. The AccuTrak vacuum transport keeps registration on point, a welded unibody steel frame is built to last, and it uses HP C8842A fast-dry cartridges. Configurations with the AF-500 feeder are available, and it prints any TrueType font plus graphics, logos and signatures on the fly.

The RENA Reality — Read Before You Buy
Straight talk: buy a Rena Imager III for parts only. This was a tank — an excellent machine that earned its reputation, and the mechanics on a good one could keep working for decades. But the electronics are the limit: the boards are no longer available at any price. Once one fails, the machine is done, however good the rest of it is. We don’t recommend buying one to put into production.
Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.
Already own one and it’s running? Run it, and call us at 866-430-2874 — we’ll help you get every last mile out of it and tell you honestly when it’s time. SuppliesForMailers.com still stocks consumables.
Need a machine you can count on? The RENA AS-150, AS-450, AS-650 and AS-850, or the Formax AP2 (2in), AP3 (3in) and AP4 (4in in-line) — all current, all supported, all backed by our parts, service and lifetime phone support.
