Description
About the AS-150
The RENA AS-150 is a small-media monochrome thermal inkjet printer purpose-built for pieces most address printers cannot grip: seed packets, coin envelopes, and other small stock from 2.125in x 4in up to 6.5in x 9.5in and up to 0.020in thick. Three HP45A-style high-capacity cartridges cover a 1.5in x 9.5in image area with four print qualities from 150 to 600 dpi (up to 600 x 600). Rated speed is 5,500 #10 envelopes per hour.
At 32 lbs with a feeder that holds up to 300 #10 envelopes and a simple USB 2.0 connection, the AS-150 drops onto a bench in seed companies, coin and collectibles dealers, and specialty mailers. It prints all TrueType fonts, graphics, logos, and barcodes — including the USPS Intelligent Mail barcode — in normal or reverse orientation. In the workflow it handles the addressing and branding pass on small media before packing, tabbing, or mail prep.
Seed packets and small media
The AS-150 is our most-recommended printer for seed packets and other small media. See why on our AS-150 seed pack printer page, compare it with the AS-450 and AS-650, or watch how a fixed-head printer lays ink on a packet.
