About the AP3
The Formax AP3 is a monochrome digital address printer built for quality on-demand printing at high speed. This mid-range unit handles up to 26,000 #10 envelopes per hour, with dual print banks and variable resolution up to 600 dpi for sharp prints, even on UV-coated stock.
A 4.5″ color touchscreen with adjustable backlight makes navigation easy, and 16 GB of memory stores and recalls print jobs. An integrated feeder holds up to 500 #10 envelopes and handles material up to 3/8″ thick. Two independent 1.5″ print heads using six thermal inkjet cartridges deliver an image area up to 3″ x 17″ with available overlap and up to an 11″ vertical print range. On-screen ink monitoring shows usage and approximate pieces remaining, USB 3.0/LAN connectivity integrates into existing setups, and the printer supports any TrueType font with spot-color capability and batch/job/lifetime counters. An optional 3-foot conveyor stacker is available.
