About the FD 87SSD
The Formax OnSite FD 87SSD is a multimedia office shredder that destroys the devices modern data actually lives on: mobile phones, mini tablets, SSDs, USB drives, SD cards and CDs/DVDs. Three dedicated enclosed infeed options accept media up to 6.5 in wide, and the cross-cut destruction turns retired electronics into secure waste rather than a liability sitting in a storage closet.
Despite the industrial job it does, the FD 87SSD is engineered for office environments: operation is whisper-quiet, and it runs on standard 120V power with no dedicated outlet required — plug it in where the work is. Solid steel cutting blades and a rugged chain-driven AC-geared motor handle the tough media, an LED control panel keeps use simple, and the all-metal cabinet moves on heavy-duty casters.
