About the FD 8732HS
The Formax FD 8732HS is a combination high-security shredder that meets NSA/CSS requirements for both high-security cross-cut paper shredders and optical media destruction devices — and Formax states that it is the longest-standing model listed on the NSA/CSS Evaluated Products List (EPL) for both paper and optical media destruction (CD, DVD, BD). Paper leaves as 1mm x 5mm particles, while the dual-head optical media system reduces discs to 2mm x 2mm or less.
Separate feed openings and separate waste bins keep the two material streams apart, and the EvenFlow automatic internal oiling system is standard, protecting the geared, chain-driven cutting heads over long production runs. AutoStart/Stop and Auto Reverse, an LED control panel, and a heavy-duty all-metal cabinet on casters make it a serious facility machine that still fits office workflows. It ships drop shipped.
