About the FD 8730HS
The Formax FD 8730HS puts two destruction systems in one cabinet: a high-security paper shredder and an optical media destroyer, each with its own feed opening and waste bin. It meets NSA/CSS requirements for both High Security Cross-Cut Paper Shredders and CD Optical Media Destruction Devices. The paper side is NSA Level P-7 high security cross-cut, shredding up to 15 sheets at once at up to 23 feet per minute into particles of just 1/32 x 3/16 inch. The CD side shreds up to 2,000 CDs per hour into 1/16 x 5/32 inch particles and handles all types of CDs and credit cards.
Build quality matches the mission: steel gearing, an all-metal cabinet on casters, and lifetime-guaranteed waste bins. The EvenFlow Automatic Internal Oiling System keeps blades lubricated during use, the control panel includes a digital load indicator, and ECO Mode switches to standby after 5 minutes of inactivity.
