About the FD 6406 Standard 3F
The Formax FD 6406 Standard 3F is a three-station folder inserter built around one high-capacity document feeder holding up to 725 sheets plus two standard feeders, so long statement runs keep moving between reloads. As part of the 6406 Series it processes up to 4,000 pieces per hour, folds up to 10 sheets in half-fold mode or 8 sheets tri-fold, and delivers finished mail to a 500-envelope vertical stacker fed from a 325-envelope top-loading hopper.
Operators work from a 7-inch color touchscreen with AutoSet automatic settings and 50 programmed jobs, so recurring mailings load in seconds. Cascade Mode links feeders for continuous feeding, double-document detectors watch every station, and a divert station pulls exceptions out of the mail stream. An optional CIS scanner reads OMR, 1D/2D barcodes, QR codes and OCR for matched mailings. The Standard 3F is a custom product, configured to order.
