Description
About the FD 6406-Standard 2
The Formax FD 6406-Standard 2 is a two-station folder inserter built with two standard sheet feeders, a configuration well suited to operations that run one or two document streams into each envelope. As part of the FD 6406 Series, it processes mail at speeds up to 4,000 pieces per hour and folds up to 10 sheets in half-fold mode or 8 sheets in tri-fold mode. This is a custom product, configured to order for your application.
Job setup runs through a 7-inch color touchscreen with a graphics-based display, and AutoSet stores up to 50 programmed jobs so recurring mailings start at the touch of a button. Cascade Mode links the feeders for continuous operation, while double-document detectors at each feeder and in the insertion area protect the integrity of every envelope. A divert station handles exceptions, finished mail collects in a 500-envelope vertical stacker, and the 325-envelope top-loading hopper keeps material moving. An automatic standby mode engages after one hour of idle time, and available options include a CIS scanner, short feed trays, and side exit trays.
