About the FD 6406 Special 4
The Formax FD 6406 Special 4 spreads four feed stations across two standard and two special feeders, giving complex mailings — statement, letter, reply envelope, promotional insert — a single-pass home. As a 6406 Series machine it runs up to 4,000 pieces per hour and folds up to 10 sheets in half-fold mode or 8 sheets tri-fold.
A 7-inch color touchscreen with graphics-based display anchors the operator experience, backed by AutoSet automatic settings and 50 programmed jobs. Double-document detectors at each feeder catch multi-feeds before they reach an envelope, a divert station pulls problem pieces without stopping the run, and Cascade Mode keeps feeding continuous. The 325-envelope top-loading hopper and 500-envelope vertical stacker round out the paper path, with auto standby after an hour idle and an optional CIS scanner available.
