About the FD 6406 Special 2
The Formax FD 6406 Special 2 is a two-station configuration of the 6406 Series inserter, combining one standard feeder with one special feeder, and it is built as a custom product. It runs up to 4,000 pieces per hour, folds up to 10 sheets in half-fold or 8 sheets in tri-fold, and the series is expandable from 2 to 6 stations as your jobs grow. A high-capacity document feeder option takes up to 725 sheets.
Setup is handled by AutoSet automatic setup and a 7-inch color touchscreen with graphics display and 50 programmed jobs. The vertical output stacker holds 500 filled envelopes, and the 325-envelope top-loading hopper can be refilled on the fly. Cascade Mode links feeders for continuous operation, electromechanical double-document detectors sit at each feeder and the insert area, a divert station pulls exceptions, and the machine drops into standby after an hour idle. An optional CIS scanner reads OMR, 1D/2D barcodes, QR codes, and OCR anywhere on the page.
