About the FD 6406-15
The Formax FD 6406-15 is a thin booklet feeder for the FD 6406 Series folder inserters, designed for models with inserter module serial number 20GX1135 and up. It lets shops running the 6406 Series — up to 4,000 pieces per hour across 2 to 6 stations — bring thin booklets into automated inserting jobs alongside standard documents.
The series it serves is genuinely operator-friendly: a 7-inch color touchscreen, AutoSet automatic adjustment, up to 50 programmed jobs, a 725-sheet document feeder and a 325-envelope hopper refillable on-the-fly, feeding a 500-envelope vertical output stacker. Fold capacity reaches 10 sheets half-folded or 8 sheets tri-folded, Cascade Mode links feeders for continuous running, and each feeder carries double document detection. A divert station and an optional CIS scanner — reading OMR, 1D/2D barcodes, QR codes and OCR anywhere on the page — round out the platform.
