About the FD 6308 Special 3i
The Formax FD 6308 Special 3i pairs three feed stations — including a special feeder — with CIS reading hardware and a multi-read license, making it the intelligent choice for variable-page mailings that also carry inserts. The full-width CIS scanner reads OMR marks, 1D/2D barcodes and QR codes located anywhere on the document, keeping each recipient’s pages together automatically.
Rated at up to 3,800 pieces per hour and 40,000 pieces per month, it folds and inserts up to 10 pages in half-fold mode. Operators work from a 7-inch full-color touchscreen with 50 programmable jobs, while paper and envelope presence sensors monitor the run. The 325-envelope hopper and 500-envelope vertical stacker keep the mail moving at both ends of the machine.
