The Formax FD 6308 Special 2F is a two-station folder inserter built around a high-capacity document feeder that holds up to 725 sheets, paired with a special feeder on the bottom station. It runs up to 3,800 pieces per hour with a recommended volume of 40,000 pieces per month, folds and inserts up to 10 pages in half-fold mode, and handles mixed document lengths and thicknesses in the same run.
Operators work from a 7-inch full-color touchscreen with 50 programmable jobs. The vertical output stacker holds 500 finished envelopes, the top-loading envelope hopper takes up to 325, and locking thumbwheel envelope side guides plus a paper path window and paper/envelope presence sensors keep jobs honest. Intelligent models add a full-width CIS scanner that reads OMR, 1D/2D barcodes, and QR codes. Options include a 1,200-sheet production feeder, MailDoc software, and a side exit tray for 400 envelopes.
