The Formax FD 6308 Series pairs genuine production capability with walk-up simplicity: up to 3,800 pieces per hour, a 7″ full-color touchscreen, and a high-capacity vertical stacker that delivers up to 500 filled envelopes in neat, sequential order. Four configurations cover everything from short feed trays to high-capacity feeders, and models with Intelligence add a full-width CIS scanner that reads OMR, 1D and 2D barcodes, and QR codes.
AutoSet™ one-touch setup measures your documents and envelopes and configures the job automatically. The clamshell design and visible insert area let an operator watch the fold and insert happen — and clear a jam in seconds without tools.

Common Problems & Quick Fixes
- Double feeds: confirm the double-document detection is enabled for the job and fan the stack before loading — static in dry months is the usual culprit.
- Envelope flap catching: check the locking side guides are set to the envelope width and that flaps are stacked squarely in the top-loading hopper.
- Fold length drifting: re-run AutoSet™ after any paper stock change; different basis weights track differently.
- Scanner not reading marks (Intelligence models): verify the mark position falls inside the CIS scan window and that print contrast meets the OMR spec.

What does "with Intelligence" mean?

If you mail statements or anything where the wrong page in the wrong envelope is a serious problem, you want Intelligence.
Can it fold without inserting?
