About the Formax FD 6102
The Formax FD 6102 is a compact, low-volume folder inserter designed to handle the demands of daily mailing in a small footprint. It automatically folds documents and inserts them into envelopes, replacing slow, error-prone hand-stuffing for small offices, practices, schools and similar organizations.
The FD 6102 automatically processes up to 1,360 documents per hour and holds up to 100 inserts in each feeding segment, with two sheet feeders and one insert feeder for flexibility. A patented double-document detection system keeps mailings uniform, and a clamshell design gives easy access to the paper path. A bright LCD display with a setup guide helps first-time operators get productive quickly, and the unit offers sealing and non-sealing modes, a resettable counter for auditing, and universal fold types including letter, half, double-parallel and no fold for #10 and 6″ x 9.5″ envelopes.

If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.
