About the FD 282
The Formax FD 282 is a double-head, multi-side tabbing system rated at up to 25,000 pieces per hour with a single tab, 15,000 per hour double-tabbed, and 10,000 per hour triple-tabbed, and it runs 1.5-inch tabs. The fixed head tabs open edges while a repositionable second head switches between side and leading-edge tabbing, so it can apply tabs on opposite sides — or top and side — simultaneously in one pass.
The flexible head also applies flat tabs, small labels, or up to 3 USPS roll stamps per pass, which turns one machine into several. Media handling covers pieces up to 11 x 15 inches and 1/4-inch thick. A digital LCD control panel provides lifetime and job-resettable counters plus 4 programmable job memories. The FD 282 is available stand-alone, as the FD 282SF with synchronized feeder, or as the FD 282HF with heavy-duty friction feeder, with output conveyor and tabletop or floor stands as options.
