Formax FD 2002 AutoSeal Pressure Sealer

Description
About the FD 2002
The Formax FD 2002 AutoSeal turns your one-page laser-printed documents into finished self-mailers — just fold, seal and mail. Print onto pressure-seal forms with bands of adhesive that activate as they pass through the sealer, and you skip the tabbing, stuffing and enveloping steps altogether. It is an ideal mid-volume answer for checks, invoices, school reports, PIN notices and appointment cards.
The FD 2002 uses a drop-in three-roller feed system that holds up to 250 sheets with no paper fanning required, and processes up to 8,000 forms per hour based on an 11" Z fold. Easy-to-adjust sliding fold plates handle C, Z, V, uneven C, uneven Z and custom folds for forms up to 8.5" W x 14" L. Expressive LED indicators report power, cover, paper and fault status, and a six-digit resettable counter keeps audit control. Optional 18" conveyor, locking cabinet, 402 Series jogger and FD 2000-35 reverse stacking conveyor round out the system. Like all AutoSeal machines, it was built in the USA.

Still Supported by All For Mailers
This model is no longer in current production, but you are not on your own. As a veteran-owned Formax dealer whose people have worked in the mailing and print-finishing industry since 1991, All For Mailers still helps owners keep these machines running with genuine parts, sealer solution, rollers and hands-on phone support out of our Feasterville, PA shop. If you have outgrown your FD 2002, ask us about a current AutoSeal model that fits your volume.
Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the FD 2002 still available new?
No — the FD 2002 has been superseded in Formax’s current lineup and is no longer manufactured new. We can help you keep an existing unit running or move you to a current AutoSeal model.
How fast is the FD 2002 and what form sizes does it handle?
It processes up to 8,000 forms per hour (based on an 11" Z fold) and handles pressure-seal forms up to 8.5" W x 14" L, with C, Z, V, uneven and custom fold settings and a hopper capacity of up to 250 sheets.
What is the difference between the FD 2002 and the FD 2002IL?
The FD 2002IL is the same FD 2002 sealer mounted on an IL alignment base with a desktop laser printer, so pages are printed, folded and sealed in one fully enclosed in-line paper path. The stand-alone FD 2002 seals pages you have already printed.
Can I still get parts and supplies?
