About the FD 1400
The Formax FD 1400 AutoSeal is a low-volume pressure sealer built for one-piece documents that need special handling — high on ease of use, low on hassle. With a simple control panel, clearly marked fold plates and a drop-in feeder, you can have a project prepped and running in minutes. Its streamlined desktop design is perfect for offices that need low-volume sealing for special projects or small mail runs.
The FD 1400 processes up to 60 forms per minute (based on an 11" Z fold) and handles forms up to 8.5" W x 14" L, with a 100-sheet hopper. It folds Z, C, uneven Z, uneven C, half and custom folds, and its heavy-duty construction stands up to daily use. An LED indicator flags anything to watch during a run, and it ships with a standard 90-day factory-direct warranty with phone and depot service (optional on-site service available). A locking cabinet and 402 Series jogger are available as options. Made in the USA.

The FD 1400 has been discontinued — Formax replaced it with the FD 1402 Pressure Sealer. Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.
