About the ColorMaxLP3
The Formax ColorMaxLP3 is a full-color digital label printer built for in-house roll-to-roll production. Its CMYK thermal inkjet print head packs 70,400 nozzles with no moving parts, delivering speeds up to 60 feet per minute (up to 12 inches per second) and resolution up to 1600 x 1600 dpi. Five high-capacity 250ml ink tanks sit behind a front access door, and a 7-inch color touchscreen offers image preview and stored jobs, so operators move between label runs quickly.
An included high-speed unwinder and rewinder handles rolls up to 10 inches in outside diameter, and the integrated cutter enables print-and-cut operation. The ColorMaxLP3 prints on paper, polyester, polypropylene and vinyl label stocks with full-bleed capability up to 8.5 inches wide. Compact, all-metal industrial-grade construction keeps it running all day, and the print head can be serviced on the fly without breaking the web. An optional CCS8 Command Station adds a dedicated PC with a 32-inch curved monitor.
