About the ColorMax9
The Formax ColorMax9 is a production digital color printer built on HP thermal inkjet technology with water-resistant pigment-based ink that resists fading, scratches, and water — a real advantage for mail that lives outdoors in trays and trucks. It prints full color at 1200 x 1200 dpi, at speeds up to 10,000 #10 envelopes per hour, on media up to 1/2in thick and 15in wide, including stuffed envelopes, kraft bags, and chipboard. Single-pass printing lays down variable data and full-color graphics together.
The ColorMax9 is aimed at high-volume mailers and print providers who need durable color at production speed. A stationary long-life print head with more than 59,000 nozzles and integrated cleaning and capping pairs with a synchronized high-capacity feeder and registration system and a dynamic infeed alignment deck for reliable feeding. Operators get a 7in color touchscreen with image preview, up to 64GB of stored jobs, and front-access high-capacity ink tanks. Built with steel and aluminum construction, it comes in three configurations, with options including a 3-ft output conveyor, workbench, and the CCS9 Command Station with PC and 32in curved monitor.
