Description
About the FD 2200 High-Volume Series
When enterprise mailing demands hit their highest levels, the Formax AutoSeal FD 2200 High-Volume Series delivers. Designed to fully automate the sealing effort so production quotas are met, the 2200 clocks in at up to 40,000 forms per hour — an industry benchmark for speed and efficiency — while integrated diagnostics and automated folding keep operators productive without heavy physical effort.
The series is offered in four feed configurations: the FD 2200 with air-feed technology and a 500-document capacity; the FD 2200-EX with extended air-feed for up to 1,000; the pile-fed FD 2250 reaching 3,500 forms; and the top-level FD 2280, which pairs with the Formax FD 676 Maxi Burster for continuous-form processing. All models offer extended paper dimensions up to 11.5" x 25", four fold plates supporting Z, uneven Z, C, half and custom folds, a six-digit batch counter, patented high-speed feeding, static elimination, fault detection, interlocks and photo-eye conveyor stacking. Options include the 402 Series jogger, FD 2000-60 bulk loader and V-Stack36 stacker.

Still Supported by All For Mailers
These production systems are no longer in current production, but All For Mailers — a veteran-owned Formax dealer, expert since 1991 — still supports them with genuine parts, rollers, sealer solution and expert phone help from Feasterville, PA. If you are running one of these at volume, we can keep it fed and folding, or help you plan a current high-volume upgrade.
Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the FD 2200 series still available new?
No — the FD 2200 High-Volume Series has been superseded in Formax’s current production lineup. We can support an existing machine or help you spec a current high-volume sealer.
How fast is the FD 2200 and how big a form can it run?
Up to 40,000 forms per hour, with documents as large as 11.5" x 25", across four feed configurations from 500-document air-feed up to continuous-form processing with the FD 676 Maxi Burster.
Which feed configuration should I choose?
The FD 2200 holds 500 documents on standard air-feed; the FD 2200-EX extends that to 1,000; the pile-fed FD 2250 reaches 3,500 forms; and the FD 2280 adds the FD 676 Maxi Burster for continuous forms. All four run at the same rated speed.
Can I still get parts and supplies?
