About the Formax FD 1500
The Formax AutoSeal FD 1500 is a standard-volume pressure sealer built for businesses that want efficient document processing. Built on proven Formax technology, it folds and seals one-piece pressure-seal forms in a single pass at up to 85 forms per minute — no envelopes required. Its heavy steel body delivers big-unit durability in a compact footprint.
The FD 1500 handles checks, invoices, legal notices, school forms and practically any pressure-seal document up to 8-1/2″ x 14″, and an extendable fold plate lets it process non-standard forms within that range. Fold types include C, Z, uneven-Z, half and custom, and a patented drop-in feed system loads documents without fanning. An LED information and diagnostics display keeps operators informed, and a resettable six-digit counter supports audit control. Options include an 18-inch photo-eye conveyor, a locking cabinet, a 402 Series jogger and a reverse-stacking conveyor.

The FD 1502 AutoSeal that succeeded it has since been discontinued as well; the current-production model is the Formax FD 1506 AutoSeal.
Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.
