About the Atlas-AS
The Formax Atlas-AS is an air-feed document folder built for real production work, folding at variable speeds up to 27,500 sheets per hour. Its air-suction feed table handles coated or non-coated stock up to 26.5 inches long, while a suction chamber keeps curled or static-charged paper feeding smoothly. A 7-inch full-color touchscreen with unlimited job memory controls the whole machine.
Fully-enclosed fold plates adjust by dial with LED displays accurate to 0.1 mm, and the composite fold rollers live in a patented pull-out cassette for easy access. A modular perforator/scorer comes standard, with a roller bypass that lets heavy cover stock exit flat without folding. Double-document and jam detection, batch counting, anti-static brushes, and skew and micro adjustments round out the package, with a belt-driven outfeed stacker positioned on the infeed side.
