About the AP3
The Formax AP3 is a mid-range monochrome inkjet address printer built around two independent 1.5in print heads — dual print banks running six standard HP 45A-style cartridges — for an image area up to 3in x 17in with overlap and a maximum vertical print range of 11in. Speeds reach 26,000 #10 envelopes per hour at resolutions up to 600 dpi. It prints any TrueType font with spot color on coated, uncoated, and UV stocks, handles media up to 3/8in thick, and ships with four AP22 ink cartridges.
The AP3 is the natural step up for mailrooms and print-for-pay shops whose volumes have outgrown an entry-level unit. The integrated feeder holds 500 #10 envelopes, jobs live on 16GB of storage, and the 4.5in color touchscreen tracks on-screen ink use plus batch, job, and lifetime counters. Connect over USB 3.0 or LAN, run the addressing pass straight from your mailing software, and add the optional 3-ft conveyor stacker to keep output flowing toward tabbing and traying.
