About the AP2
The Formax AP2 is an entry-level monochrome inkjet address printer that brings production-grade addressing to a compact footprint. Its fixed print head runs four inkjet cartridges at resolutions up to 600 dpi, covering an image area up to 2in x 15in with a maximum vertical print range of 10.75in. Rated at up to 22,000 #10 envelopes per hour, it prints any TrueType font plus spot color on coated, uncoated, and UV stocks, and feeds media up to 1/4in thick from an integrated feeder that holds 500 #10 envelopes. Each unit ships with four AP22 ink cartridges, so you can print the day it lands.
The AP2 suits small and mid-size mailrooms, print shops, associations, and nonprofits stepping up from labels or hand-fed laser printing. In the mailroom workflow it sits right after list processing: send jobs over USB 3.0 or LAN, store them on up to 16GB of internal memory, and track everything from the 4.5in color touchscreen with adjustable backlight, which shows ink percentage used, pieces remaining, and batch, job, and lifetime counters. An optional 3-ft conveyor stacker collects finished pieces ahead of traying.
