About the Formax 6206 Series

Multi-insert mailings are the most error-prone kind — stuffing and checking each envelope by hand is slow and tiring. The Formax 6206 Series folder/inserter automates the whole job, stuffing a variety of pieces into a single envelope error-free. Whether you are fulfilling information requests or sorting invoices with optional OCR software, it delivers the accurate, professional mailings your customers notice.

The 6206 Series inserts business cards, return envelopes, single-page fliers or up to eight pages into one envelope, at up to 2,400 pieces per hour. A colorful, user-friendly touchscreen walks operators through jobs with a built-in wizard, and up to 20 jobs can be saved to memory. It folds C, V, Z, double-parallel and no-fold, accepts stapled page sets, and includes batch and lifetime counters. Feeders hold up to 250 sheets each, the envelope hopper holds up to 250, and an optional BRE/insert feeder handles up to 250 BREs or 700 inserts. Optional OCR and BCR read both horizontally and vertically. UL and CE approved.

The 6206 Series is no longer available new — Formax carries this capability forward in the 6204 and 6210 Series inserters. As a veteran-owned Formax dealer, expert since 1991, All For Mailers still keeps existing 6206 units running with genuine parts and supplies and hands-on phone help from Feasterville, PA, and can move you to a current 6204 or 6210 Series when you are ready.

Straight talk: some parts for the Formax 6206 Series are getting hard to find — but it was built to last. These were genuinely well-made units, and a well-cared-for one may run for years yet. It’s off the current price lists, and while we can still source many parts, certain components — most often boards, displays and electronics — are increasingly scarce. We can often keep one running. We just can’t promise it indefinitely.

Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.
