Description

About the Postmatic EFS Pro Envelope Sealer

The EFS Pro Envelope Sealer / Feeder, sold by Postmatic, is so convenient, fast and easy to set up that you will never want to hand-seal envelopes again. It handles envelopes from A5 up to 10×13 with a variety of flap styles — even the square invitation flaps that jam most automatic sealers — and delivers consistent feeding and flap-sealing quality. Changing envelopes to start a new job takes just seconds.

It runs up to 10,000-12,000 pieces per hour with advanced sealing technology, variable speed control and tool-less setup, on a portable tabletop footprint that works in any mailing operation. A removable stacking tray lets it run inline with addressing systems and stamp affixers, and a digital counter tracks the job. It handles thicknesses up to 1/4″, with a belt speed of 300 ft/min, runs on 115 VAC, and weighs 75 lbs. It seals most commercial, catalog, booklet and announcement envelopes with side, center and diagonal seals. For best results, use sealing fluid rather than plain water to reduce mold and use SFM203 rubber roller cleaner to prolong belt life.

Why sealing fluid matters for speed. The EFS Pro’s rated 10,000-12,000 per hour reflects the feed and seal mechanism at full capacity — real-world speed depends on how quickly the flap glue wets and sets. A quality sealing fluid (not plain water) helps the machine seal reliably at that rated speed, and helps prevent the mold and odor that can develop when water sits in the reservoir.

Still Supported by All For Mailers

Also sold as the RENA ES-450. Quadient/RENA once planned to resell this exact machine under their own name and purchased a small batch before discontinuing the plan. All For Mailers purchased their remaining stock outright — the last 3 units ever labeled RENA ES-450 are being sold here under that name; every unit after that is this same EFS Pro, sold under its standard name. The EFS Pro carries a $7,500 MSRP. Its RENA-badged twin, the ES-450, was originally listed at $11,840; those last three RENA-badged units are priced at $5,495.

Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.
