About the ColorMax8
The Formax ColorMax8 is a digital color printer that brings full-bleed, full-color inkjet printing to envelopes, cartons, padded envelopes, and more, up to 3/8″ thick, thanks to a wider, flatter paper path. Its Memjet print head packs 70,400 ink nozzles with zero moving parts for high speed, low cost per piece, and quiet operation.
The printer produces CMYK color — up to 16.8 million colors — on a variety of paper stocks and sizes, at 1600 x 1600 dpi at 6 inches per second or 1600 x 800 dpi at 12 inches per second. An intuitive 7″ color touchscreen gives access to functions, settings, and system status. Thermal inkjet technology runs safely with pre-printed and windowed envelopes, and high-capacity ink tanks with fully automated print-head cleaning maintain print quality throughout every run.
