Description

Straight talk before you buy: we advise against purchasing an Accufast QT tabber today — and we don’t buy them ourselves. Too many parts for these machines are simply no longer available: a QT that breaks may be a QT you can’t fix, no matter who you call.

Why We Don’t Recommend Buying an Accufast QT

It’s not the tabs — those we can still get you (see below). It’s the parts. Key components for the QT have gone out of production, and when the wrong one wears out, there’s no honest repair path left. We’d rather tell you that before you buy than after.

Already own one? Here’s the good news. We still stock the pinfeed tabs these machines run — the two-sided tractor-hole style, like classic pin-fed labels — at our sister company SuppliesForMailers.com: by the case or by the roll. Keeping existing machines fed is exactly what our supplies business is for — call 866-430-2874 if you’re unsure of the spec.

When you’re ready to move on: browse our current tabbers & wafer sealers — modern machines running standard tabs and wafer seals you can buy anywhere. Tell us your volume and mailpiece and we’ll match you honestly. Start with the T-250 family guide.

Why does a dealer publish a “don’t buy this” page? Because you’ll remember who told you the truth when you’re ready to buy the right machine.

Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I still get tabs for an Accufast QT?
Yes. The QT runs two-sided tractor-hole pinfeed tabs, which are still stocked by the case or by the roll at SuppliesForMailers.com.

What is the problem with the Accufast QT — tabs or parts?
Parts, not tabs. Key components for the QT have gone out of production, so a failure of the wrong part can leave a machine without an honest repair path.

How does the QT compare with the Duplo DT900 and Secap 2020?
All three are legacy pinfeed tabbers running the same two-sided tab format, and tabs remain available for all of them; the QT is the one where parts availability is the limiting factor.
