Description
About the Accufast PMx
The Accufast PMx let any business add print heads and increase capacity without re-working the shop floor, using its X-Pansion technology. You could start with one or two print banks and upgrade with additional heads later — powerful production paired with simple usability. It ran variable speed from 0 to 100 inches per second (roughly 30,000 postcards per hour), with horizontal print resolutions of 150, 200, 300 and 600 dpi.
Built on a welded-steel sub-frame with aluminum 8020 transport tables and dual 40-inch non-stretch vacuum transport belts, the PMx handled pieces from a single sheet up to 1/2" thick, up to 17.5" wide and 17" long. A precision-ground encoder wheel gave single-pixel (1/300") image placement, and the system supported all TrueType fonts and common barcodes through Accufast’s Jet.Engine software. The standard two-imager machine measured about 42" long, weighed 145 lb, and ran on 120/240 VAC.

Parts Support from All For Mailers
Accufast has closed and the PMx is no longer being made. All For Mailers still supports installed units with parts and supplies where available. As a veteran-owned dealer, expert since 1991, we can help you find a current high-end addressing system when you’re ready to replace it.
Straight talk: buy an Accufast PMx for parts only. This was a tank — an excellent machine that earned its reputation, and the mechanics on a good one could keep working for decades. But the electronics are the limit: the boards are no longer available at any price. Once one fails, the machine is done, however good the rest of it is. We don’t recommend buying one to put into production.
Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.
What’s actually available: aftermarket rollers and some bearings, across the Accufast line. Motors for the KT, KT2 and XL. That’s it — everything else is gone. If you’re running an Accufast today, call us at 866-430-2874 and we’ll tell you exactly what we can and can’t get for your machine.
Need a machine you can count on? The RENA AS-150, AS-450, AS-650 and AS-850, or the Formax AP2 (2in), AP3 (3in) and AP4 (4in in-line) — all current, all supported, all backed by our parts, service and lifetime phone support.
