Description
About the Freehand Label Applier
The Freehand Label Applicator is the perfect tool for letters, newsletters, flyers, invitations and other print media that aren’t produced on a production basis. Dependable and refreshingly simple, it is ideal for small schools, churches and other organizations that don’t need full production mailing equipment — in fact, it is the easiest machine to operate in the Accufast line. It is built from high-quality materials and made in the United States.
The Freehand applies labels to up to 8,000 pieces per hour, handling pieces up to 20 lbs and 5" to 15" wide, and labels coated or uncoated packages up to 1/8" thick. It runs machine-grade labels 1" to 2" high (up to 6" wide on the backer, with or without tractor holes), and splicing takes seconds for continuous operation with no re-threading. A stationary head keeps labeling reliable and consistent, applied labels are easy to see, and a waste take-up spool and counter are built in. It can run in-line with Accufast and other tabletop tabbers and conveyors, with an optional catch tray or conveyor. It weighs 45 lbs and needs little maintenance.

Still Supported by All For Mailers
The Freehand Label Applicator has been discontinued and is no longer supported new by the manufacturer. All For Mailers — veteran-owned, with people in the mailing industry since 1991 — can still help you source labels, supplies and parts where available through SuppliesForMailers.com, and point you to a current entry-level labeler.
Protect what you have. These machines were built to last, and the mechanics will outlive the electronics every time. If you’re running one, put it on a quality surge protector, and add static protection — especially in dry winter air or on high-speed paper handling. Power spikes and static are what kill boards, and on these machines a board may not be replaceable at any price. It’s the cheapest insurance there is for equipment you can’t simply reorder.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Freehand still available new?
No — it is discontinued and no longer supported new. We can help with supplies and parts where available and recommend a current tabletop labeler.
How fast is the Freehand and what can it label?
Up to 8,000 pieces per hour, handling pieces 5" to 15" wide, up to 20 lbs, and up to 1/8" thick, using machine-grade labels 1" to 2" high.
How does the Freehand Label Applicator compare with the Accufast XL?
The Freehand is the simpler, slower machine — 8,000 pieces per hour with a stationary head, built for organisations that do not run production mailings. The XL nearly doubles that at up to 15,000 pieces per hour, takes wider pieces up to 16" and 1/4" thick, and its head slides so labels can go almost anywhere.
Can I still get parts and supplies?
Yes — visit SuppliesForMailers.com or call 866-430-2874.
