AFM80S Automatic Envelope Sealer — Seal Up to 80 Envelopes a Minute
We introduced the AFM80S in 2013 as the faster companion to our AFM60S, and it has been one of our steadiest sellers ever since. The idea has not changed: stop sealing envelopes by hand. Place a stack in the machine, switch it on, and walk away — the AFM80S moistens and seals the flaps at up to 80 envelopes a minute.
How the AFM80S works
The AFM80S is an automatic, stack-fed envelope sealer. Load a stack of filled envelopes flap-open, turn it on, and the machine feeds each envelope, moistens the gummed flap, closes it and presses it shut. There is no learning curve and nothing to program. A hundred envelopes that used to take someone twenty minutes with a sponge take a little over a minute.
It is built for the everyday envelope job — invoices, statements, checks, notices, direct mail — in offices, churches, schools, nonprofits and print shops that mail a few hundred to a few thousand pieces at a time.
AFM80S envelope specifications
| Envelope length | 9 in to 12.8 in |
| Envelope width | 3.5 in to 5.5 in |
| Envelope thickness | Up to 3/8 in with sealing on (1/2 in feed-only) |
| Speed | Up to 80 envelopes a minute |
| Operation | Stack-fed, automatic — load, switch on, done |
That range covers the standard #10 business envelope through #11, #12 and #14 sizes, and the 3/8-inch sealing thickness allows for multi-page inserts.
AFM60S or AFM80S?
The two machines work the same way; the model number is the speed. The AFM60S seals up to 60 envelopes a minute and is the right choice for smaller, occasional jobs. The AFM80S seals up to 80 a minute for bigger stacks and daily use. If you are on the fence, count last month’s envelopes: under a few hundred a week, the AFM60S; more than that, or several people sharing one machine, the AFM80S. Our envelope sealer buyer’s guide walks through the whole lineup, from these two up to the Formax pressure sealers.

Sealing fluid and supplies
The AFM80S uses ordinary envelope sealing solution. We recommend the eco-friendly sealing fluid powder from SuppliesForMailers.com — one packet mixes a gallon, it ships as a dry packet instead of a jug of water, and it keeps the moistening brush clean. Browse all of our envelope sealers and openers for the rest of the line.
