Our In-House Refurbishing Process: What “Refurbished” Means When We Say It
“Refurbished” is one of the most abused words in used equipment. Sometimes it means a machine was rebuilt by people who know it cold. Sometimes it means someone wiped it down, snapped photos, and shipped it. The sticker looks the same; what’s underneath doesn’t. Here’s exactly what the word means when we say it.
Cleaned and Flipped vs. Actually Refurbished
A flipped machine is a mystery with a fresh coat of dust remover: nobody measured the wear, nobody ran a real job through it, and nobody stands behind it. An actually refurbished machine has been through a bench process by technicians who service these machines for a living — every one of ours crosses our own bench in Feasterville, PA before it ships anywhere.
Our Refurbishing and Testing Standards
- Evaluation. Every incoming machine gets assessed honestly. Not every trade-in makes the cut — machines that can’t be brought to standard become parts donors instead of somebody’s problem.
- Teardown and cleaning. Covers off, years of paper dust and adhesive out, so wear is visible instead of hidden.
- Worn parts replaced. Friction and wear components that show their age — rollers, pads, belts, and similar parts — get replaced, not “should-be-fine”d.
- Adjustment and calibration. Guides, registration, timing — set the way the service documentation says, not eyeballed.
- Live-run testing. We run the machine the way you will: real mailpieces, real batches, at working speed. A machine that hasn’t run a job hasn’t been tested.
What’s Replaced vs. What’s Verified
Every machine is different, and you deserve to know yours. When you buy a refurbished machine from us, we’ll tell you what was replaced and what was inspected and verified — plainly, before you pay. That transparency is the difference between buying a machine and buying a story.
What’s Included with Every Refurbished Machine
A machine that’s been through the process above; our standard warranty — 90-day warranty standard on refurbished equipment; extended coverage available, and the warranty on your listing or invoice controls (full policy: Returns & Warranty); free phone and remote support; parts availability through our sister company SuppliesForMailers.com; and nationwide delivery, installation, and operator training if you want it. One habit worth adopting on day one: any time you contact your sales rep about an issue during the warranty period, CC support@allformailers.com so it’s documented for our whole team.
Supported for Life
The warranty has a date on it. The relationship doesn’t. Long after coverage ends, we’re still the people you call for parts, phone troubleshooting, remote sessions, and honest advice about whether a repair is worth it. That’s what Supported for Life means — and it’s why customers who bought machines from us years ago still call us first and why machines are sent to us from all across the world.
Need service on a machine right now — whether you bought it from us or somewhere else? The fastest way onto our bench schedule is the service request form: describe the machine and the symptom, and a real technician follows up. A written request also means your issue is documented from minute one.
